Meet Finnegan.
Today he is just over 7 months old.
& We are going to make him a big brother.
From my experience, TTC (trying to conceive) is HARD.
Not that it is physically taxing (although some may say otherwise)

It is mentally draining. It challenges your emotions, your patience,
& your sanity.
When we were TTC our first, Finnegan, it took us a fairly short period of time. Five months! We would be so lucky to conceive in a short window like that again, if not sooner. However, I am worried that we will have some difficulty because I am breastfeeding our little boy and my cycles have yet to return. I have taken steps to jump start my fertility, though:
- Stopped pumping for milk donation (-1 session)
- Night weaned the little man (-2 sessions)
- Started Finn on 3 solid meals a day! (-2 sessions)
That makes for 5 sessions of breastfeeding cut out of our daily routine. From what I have read on the internet, fertility returns more quickly with an abrupt change or decrease in your breastfeeding routine. I really hope that it does the trick.
I am keeping this blog more for myself, than anything else. Perhaps if I track the ins and outs of trying this time around, I will maintain at least a slight hold on my sanity. I imagine I will continue the blog once bundle #2 is conceived(carried)&born, and document the day to day insanity of mothering two babies.
